IM Climbing Team
The IM Climbing Team is an Elite Team who are training specifically for competitions and are operating at the highest level in the British Competition Climbing scene.
All training and planning is dierctly overseen by Iain.
I began climbing when I was 8 and progressed to competitions at age 9. It was at this point that I started to work with Iain, who ensured that I became a well-rounded climber. I gained experience climbing outdoors, however my main focus was on competitions.
At age 12 I was selected for the GB Junior Lead Climbing Team, which I have now been on for 5 years. I competed internationally, achieving top 10 finishes in Europe.
More recently my primary discipline has been bouldering, as I was selected for the GB Junior Bouldering Team when it set up in 2013. Over the last two years I have achieved 2 top 10 world rankings.
Since 2011 I have also secured 5 British Championship titles - 3 in bouldering and 2 in lead climbing.
I enjoy climbing outdoors and have now been on multiple trips abroad, including a recent one to Font where I bouldered 7c. I’m hoping to get outdoors more in the future, but for now I set my goals more towards competitions.
I began climbing in 2008 at The Tower Climbing Centre (after one of the instructors spotted me on their Mobile Wall), where I am coached by Iain McKenzie.
I have focused mainly on Lead Climbing but also enjoy Bouldering
